Thanks for organising things Darren, and sorry for it being grubby, I did stop and jet wash it at a garage on route, but it seemed to have just smeared the dirt about!, and sorry for the early exit, Donna wasnt feeling well and, hectic weekend with Erins birthday party, Donnas mums anniversary and a head gasket. Nice meeting some new owners.
I got some arch trim from Phoenix, and plan on having the body kit off over winter and repainting it and get to more shows next year.

No problem at all Paul,
I'm pleased you managed to get the head sorted and was able to join us.
I will have to make more of an effort myself to get out to some more shows next year too.

Re: 25th Anniversary 2014
Good day had & glad so many made the effort.
I wandered gently back down as far as Cheltenham then decided to shoot straight for home - I wasn't a good boy, it can still do what they say it can ;-)
However after a quick fill at Okehampton, it thought to play silly buggers and when going up the next couple of hills only fire on three pots. Back on the level it was fine, then it seamed to settle down.
Now it's been treated to a splash to remove the many insect intestines and other body parts, I might take it for a quick spin to make sure it still goes.
New washer bottle fitted and to make sure I don't fall into the "tarting-up-the-engine-bay" category of owner (you know who you are!!) did it with greasy hands! - still too clean though

Re: 25th Anniversary 2014
Glad to hear you got home ok.
I had a little burst on mine but my temp went up to just over 80 on both water and oil and when I pulled up at some traffic lights my oil pressure was about 1bar and had a little puff of smoke from the exhaust. 5 Mins at 40 and it all cooled down and pressure was back to 2.5bar.
I may have to get a different gauge and see what pressure that gives.
maybe some xmas hol work if it needs some work

Mine too has now decided to play silly bug_ers as I now have no lights whatsoever - no sidelights, no headlights and no headlight flasher/main beam.
Any ideas anyone?
Great show and good to meet so many of the "afflicted" and put so many names to faces.

Re: 25th Anniversary 2014
unusual the headlamp pull to flash is on a different feed to the rest of lights, so really odd it is not working as well.
Headlights are fed from top fuse down brown wire to light switch, then it puts power to red at position one, which puts it back through the bottom fuse on the fuse box, position two cant remeber the colour wire sorry..
knackered fuse boxes have all kinds of symptoms, Donnas RSP had no lights two weeks ago, with a meter it all checked out, but turned out to be fusebox, I put 12volt + to bottom fuse right hand side and lights all lit up worked back from there..

It is definitely worth buying the November copy of Miniworld and Mini Magazine because the Standford Hall display of ERAs is mentioned and pictured in both!
