Post by prop » Thu May 12, 2011 10:23 am

Has anybody got the size and style of the original seal for the kit to body. Any pictures or drawings?

I'm also getting a complete new set of seals and have been told about these people...

They might not have the original spec. but seem to have a good range of stuff

I have emailed them a picture of my arch trim on a ruler to see if they can locate the profile for us all.
Fingers crossed they can out of their 1000 profiles on record.

I have checked in my catalogue but unfortunately can't find anything to match.

I will put up a link to the company, they have a down load catalogue available but you need to scroll down a long way to see the shapes.

Maybe if you had an old original peice of moulding it would be worth sending it to them to try and match it. :?:

You wouldn't think that such a simple style of moulding would be so difficult to locate.
I have had a look at the COH Baines download and they list such a massive range but nothing really like the trim we need. COH Baines is probably the biggest range I have seen so far. Has anybody contacted them about our trim yet? Unfortunately I don't have a sample to send away.

I do have a small piece that could be used as a sample if none of these companies can recognise the profile from my attached pic.

I wouldn't have thought that it was unique to the ERA but it is starting to look that way isnt it :(

I sent an email to a company in Rochdale, George Culley and this was the reply

"HI
I AM NOT SURE I CAN HELP , SORRY
ITS NOT ONE OF OUR PROFILES , SORRY , MOST TOOLS WE HAVE NEED A MOQ OF 25 METRES TO RUN IN SILICONE ,IF A STOCK PROFILE , YOU COULD LOOK THROUGH T HE CATALOGUE TO SEE IF A SIMILAR ONE AND ALL CLUB IN TO MAKE A RUN WORTH MAKING ?

OTHERWISE IN SILICONE IT IS GOING TO BE £300 APPROX TO MAKE A TOOL AND RUN 25 METRES "

It seems it is not impossible but expensive. This is the first company I have contacted and they have different profiles to Baines. What length is needed for one car?
Does anybody know who made the body kits? If they are still in business maybe they had information.

Address for Culley catalogue
