Body Kit

Hi,
I need information on the fitting of the body kit.
I am working around the rear of the car and I thought I would have a quick look at how the body kit fits on the off side rear.
I am nowhere near fitting this at the moment but thought it would be a good idea to see how it fits in case I have to alter the bodywork or take something into account during the rebuild.
The kit I have is an unused, unfinished kit in its rough form as it came from the mould. I was told it was an original kit as it matches kits I have seen on original cars. When I offered it up I found that to get the kit panel under the metal seam of wheel arch I had to distort the glass fiber to get it near. I thought that his couldn't be right as it would eventually crack the panel if fitted that way. There should be no stress on the panel at all. There was no stress if I sat it on top of the wheel arch seam.
Has anyone got any photos or information of how the body kit is cut and how it fits.
