Water temperature sender VDO
I think I have found the right sender for the VDO water temperature gauge. Having contacted VDO they suggested 2 senders. One has a switch incorporated in it with 2 terminals. and another with one terminal. I went for that one. I suppose you could use the other to switch a fan if wanted. The one I g...

AUXILIARY RADIATOR
I have discovered a leak in my aux rad. I have taken it off and just linked the hoses so there will still be a flow. Now I have to consider if I am going to build another from a Mocal oil cooler or find another rad to use like a motorcycle rad or just leave it linked. My thoughts are I don’t really ...

KYB GAS-A-JUST SHOCK ABSORBERS
I have now fitted new KYB GAS A JUST SHOCKS. They have transformed the ride. The old failed GAZ shocks are in the scrap bin. That was a very expensive fail. So far I can highly recommend the KYB shocks. See my other post on GAZ shock absorbers

Re: OIL THERMOSTAT FITTING TO MINI ERA TURBO
I recently drove a new VW transporter, It has a oil temperature display on the center console. After a fairly long trip it had reached 98 degrees. That is the temperature oil should run at to work properly.

Satfold Barn Classic show
Been to Statfold Barn classic show today. It’s in Tamworth. What a great place, steam railway, museum, a super venue. It would be a good place for a club display in the future

Re: OIL THERMOSTAT FITTING TO MINI ERA TURBO
Done 3 trips to car shows and the oil thermostat seems to be working fine. I got the temperature to 80 degrees on the sump gauge while the oil cooler gauge didn’t rise at all so the thermostat is doing its job. I am very pleased with the results and happy my oil is reaching a good working temperatur...

Re: OIL THERMOSTAT FITTING TO MINI ERA TURBO
I overhauled the stat (see other post). I took the car out the other day. The ambient temperature was about 12 degrees. I did about 30 miles. The gauge didn’t get past 50 deg. (It starts at 50) the other gauge I have connected to the sump had started to rise off it’s stop but it’s first increment is...
