Re: Speedo Cable
Hi
Looking on Micro Fiche looks like ERA modified part, part number is ERA1302 by looks of things.
I imagine its a standard Mini or Metro Cable with a different end on or adapter on it for the ERA Speedo.
Might be able to replace the inner from a standard cable and get yours working again..

Re: Speedo Cable
Yep is a standard length with a different end. I was hoping to use the outer cable, but that is also damaged . I need a complete cable.

Re: Speedo Cable
Hi Guys
i have searched quite a few places for a speedo cable myself wth no joy.
If you have better luck, let me know.
I got round the problem by using a modern cable (the type with the nylon springy clip). i used my dremel to remove the white plastic then cut two slots in the metal tube end. It is then held in place with a jubilee clip. It is a bit of a codge but it works.
I was told (i think by speedy cables) that if i had the old cable, they might be able to transfer the end to a new cable. as i was building mine from bits i had no end to use. you might have more luck.
cheers
Darren

Re: Speedo Cable
Hi Guys,
Finally sorted my speedo cable problems out,
My gearbox was fitted with a 3m square drive instead of a 4m drive. Ive replaced it with a 4m one from a old gearbox a had, used i standard mini long inner cable managed to salvaged my outer cable, and it all working fine.
Does anybody no why it would have this size speedo drive in my gearbox.
Ricky
