Hey, im replacing the rubber trim round the bodykit on ma ERA and i have been looking for a replacement as i cant find the original profile.

I was looking at your pictures and thought the trim looked very good, where did you get it from?

Hi there.

I was very lucky. I have been collecting parts for this project for over 10 years.
The arches came off a car that was owned by an era employee who loaded his s reg mini with a full body kit including piping, bonnet and a full interior. unfortunately the interior has already been sold off by the mini place before i knew about it, but i got all the other bits.

unfortunately i can't help you at the moment, however i have been speaking to someone lately who said they knew who produced the arches for era. i will try and get hold of him and see if i can get hold of the arch makers as they might know where to get it from.

unfortunately i cant remember the name of the mini place i got my bits from, which is a bugger as they did have some more genuine pieces of arches in various colours, enough to make another full kit, and a box of white era piping, which i didn't bother with as it was of no use to me at the time and i had very little spare cash.

Just a quickie. I have just noticed someone listing some rubber trim for an era on ebay. they say it is genuine, however it is not the same profile as mine or any other that i have seen on genuine era's.
it might be an alternative that was supplied to him, but i doubt it comes from ERA.

I have about 1ft spare from mine. i can send you a small piece so you can see what the genuine profile should be like if this will help.

Just send me a personal message with your address and i will send you a bit. i think i can put my hands on it fairly easy if it is where i think it is.
i am off on my hols next tue for 2 weeks, so let me know asap or you will have to wait till i get back.

The trim on ebay is definately not from an ERA. It seems very similiar to a standard profile Mini Spares sell for normal Mini arches, and nothing at all like proper ERA trim.
