Hi.
If you look at this section in the ERA history it gives a reason.
http://www.eraturbo.co.uk/history/006.htm
My car doesn't have them, They were lost when it was stolen and I am looking to reinstate them somehow in the future, probably after it is back on the road

Hi all
As pointed out by Paul and in the ERA History on left of this page, these blocks were fitted to raise steering arm height to reduce bump steer.
However, a word of WARNING:
When we spoke to the former ERA engineer who supplied us with the Register and drawings, we were warned not to try and replicate or fit these blocks without expert advice. The extended bolts used to secure the steering arm through these blocks were especially manufactured and certified, at great expense, as they are a 'safety critical component'. We have no details of this spec. Please do not refit them Prop if you don't have the knowledge required.
Regards
Pete K
