My Shows List 2010

Hi All,

i thought it was about time that i listed what shows i was thinking of doing this year before the year dissapears.

If anyone else is planning on going to any of these shows, leave a reply on this topic and if there is enough of us going to the same show i will see about orgainising a stand.

Gaydon Mini Festival - 4/7/10

British Mini Showdown (Avon Park) 10-11/7/10 (might just do one day unless someone else is campimg)

Mini in the park (Santapod) - 15/8/10

Minifest (uttoxeter racecourse) 5/9/10

Stanford Hall - 12/9/10

Castle combe - 25/9/10

Malvern mini show (worcester) 24/10/10

I'm doing Castle Coombe and not sure about MITP that's probably only a 50 / 50 as I need to get a shift swap.

I'm not 100% sure about MITP too. If others are going I will go, but if i'm the only one then i may give it a miss.

HI there

We're gonna give Gaydon a miss this year but weather permitting we plan to do the Mini Showdown at Avon Park (near Startford) on the Sunday 11th and also plan to do the following:

MITP 15th August (assuming weather reasonable)
Castle Combe 25th Sept (this is a definite as we have hotel booked)
Coventry Festival of Transport run (5th September - booked)
Crich Mini Meet 25th July (another definite as hotel booked)

After Castle Combe if I get a bonus tis year then i think it may bespent on some body renovations for the ERA as rust bubbles are starting to appear so it may be off the road for a few months but hopefully back for the Spring!

I think i'm going to give Gaydon a miss too then as no one else seems to be going either.
will be doing Avon park next weekend but not sure if i'm doing both days or just the one.

not doing much this year due to kameo expecting our second baby at the beginging of September only be able to do the sunday at British Mini Showdown and thats probably going to be it for the year.

Is anybody running their car down the strip this year?? I'm hoping to get a couple of runs in but i do know that the Sunday can be quite busy!

Hi Guys,

Had to change plans at last minute as we were invited to a BBQ on Sunday so have been down to Avon Park today instead.

It is always quieter on saturdays which is good for track time but a lot of the traders and other activity does not really get going until Sunday. Took the ERA down the strip three times with times in the 17.3 and 17.4's - not bad but not quite as good as last year's 17.18secs. However judging by some of the times posted by other more exotic machinery my times were slow with several wild Mini's posting times in the 13's.

At least Dave Hollis did not accuse me of driving an ERA lookalike this year!
