I'am looking for a era bonnet scoop like in the picture.
Does anyone have a spare,or knows where i can find one?

Re: Looking for era bonnet scoop
When I restored 1089 I had a boat builder take a mould of the bonnet scoop and the 4 piece body kit. It would seem that it is possible to obtain replica Japanese spec 5 piece body kits but I drew a complete blank trying to find any British spec 4 piece kits. I used one of the copy bonnet scoops on my car and it fits perfectly.
I decided to bond 4 x M5 inserts into my new scoop and screw it to the bonnet. It would appear that originally on this car it was attached by double sided tape.
I am waiting for the first complete body kit to be fitted to a car to check the fit.

Re: Looking for era bonnet scoop
I have seen the odd one about at mini shows, and they have had the flange on the outer edge like the ABS product.

As they are glassfibre it should be possible to bond in new material to give the correct inside flange and remove the outer one. It would probably take a little time but the result should be good.

Re: Looking for era bonnet scoop
I got one of the cheap ones offered on e-bay sometimes and took a mould to make a better one.
I could do more in Fibreglass, but not this Year. I made my new one without any flange and glued it in place with windshield glue.
